Le Hameau des Sources: The authenticity of an exceptional alpine setting

Situated in Les Giettes, on the hills above Monthey, this hamlet of luxury chalets offers a rare living environment, combining breathtaking views of the Alps with the tranquillity of the mountains. Designed for families seeking space and elegance, these chalets combine refined architecture, fine materials and high energy efficiency for year-round comfort.

Le Hameau des Sources embodies a new way of living in the mountains sustainably, and in style.

Chalets designed for every family

Le Hameau des Sources offers six individual chalets, each named after a peak or iconic location in the Alps, giving them a strong identity rooted in the local area.

The hamlet comprises two distinct types of chalet, designed to meet the needs of different family set-ups:

  • The 4.5-room chalets : Rosey, Chavalet, Fayot, Pessot and Dyurô

With a living area of 80 m², these five chalets offer a spacious yet intimate living environment. Each features a terrace and a large private garden of 150 m², ideal for making the most of the mountains in every season.

  • The 5.5-room chalet : Mauvoisin

This exceptional chalet offers 160 m² of living space. It stands out for its generous proportions, its balcony, its large 20 m² terrace and its private garden of 150 m², providing a spacious and light-filled family living environment.

An exceptional architectural signature – Montalba Architects

Le Hameau des Sources was entrusted to Montalba Architects, an international leader in contemporary architecture. Founded in 2004 by David Montalba, the firm has three offices, in Los Angeles, New York and Lausanne, and works on large-scale projects across the globe, from the rural landscapes of Switzerland to the dense urban environments of New York and Los Angeles.

The firm’s philosophy is rooted in a meticulous attention to detail: each project emerges from a careful analysis of its context, in which architecture, materials and natural light are considered together to create spaces that are both aesthetically distinctive and deeply rooted in their surroundings.

For Le Hameau des Sources, Montalba Architects brings this same vision, combining carefully considered volumes, integration with the landscape and high-quality construction, to offer future residents chalets that blend elegantly into the alpine landscape of Les Giettes.

A peaceful setting, just a stone’s throw from everything

Les Giettes: a way of life between sky and mountains

Nestled at an altitude of 1,300 metres on the hills above Monthey, Les Giettes is just a fifteen-minute drive from the town. The hustle and bustle of city life quickly gives way to the tranquillity of the forest and the vastness of the Alps. From this natural balcony, the view stretches as far as Lake Geneva, the Chablais region unfolds in all its splendour and the Dents du Midi tower majestically over the horizon.

In both summer and winter, the Giettes plateau is a life-size playground: free ski runs, snowshoe walks, summer hikes up to the Dent de Valerette at 2,058 metres, there is no shortage of activities for the whole family.

The hamlet also benefits from a bus stop in the immediate vicinity, offering a regular service to Monthey and its amenities.

Easier access from 2028 : the Vérossaz cable car project

A cable car project linking Saint-Maurice station to the Vérossaz plateau in under four minutes is currently taking shape, co-funded by the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Valais. It is scheduled to open between 2028 and 2029, a considerable asset for future residents of Le Hameau des Sources.

Chalets built to last, with respect for the environment

Le Hameau des Sources has been designed in line with current energy standards, guaranteeing its future owners a home that is energy-efficient, economical and respectful of its alpine environment. The chalets meet the energy standards in force in Switzerland, ensuring excellent thermal insulation and controlled energy consumption throughout the year.

In terms of finishes, each chalet reflects the particular care taken in the choice of materials: high-quality surfaces, well-appointed sanitary fittings and living spaces designed to combine everyday comfort with contemporary aesthetics.

True to its values of local roots, the project was carried out in collaboration with regional companies, ensuring local expertise and a strong commitment to quality of workmanship.

Our view

At Neho, we have had the opportunity to discover many exceptional properties, yet Le Hameau des Sources stands out for a rarity that commands admiration.

What strikes you first is the sheer beauty of the location: a breathtaking panorama of the Dents du Midi, the unspoilt tranquillity of Les Giettes, and architectural quality by Montalba Architects that elevates this project far beyond the usual standards of the Alpine market. Luxury chalets, generous private gardens, spacious layouts designed with families in mind, every detail reflects a rare level of excellence.

Whether as a primary residence, a second home or an investment property, Le Hameau des Sources represents, in our view, an exceptional and unique opportunity in the property market.
